Jennifer Lopez, a name with well-deserved fame in the fields of acting, singing, dancing and as on date, is well-known as a producer too. "A famous movie star" is what she wanted to become and achieved too. She has been on the list of Time's 100 most influential people in the world and Forbes' listing her as one amongst the highest-paid women in music.

FAMILY:

Jennifer is a 49-year old American citizen and a famous female artist. She was born on July 24, 1969, as a second girl child out of three female children to Guadalupe Rodríguez and David Lopez. She was excellent in athletics and had less interest in academics. She did gymnastics and also contested in national track championships.

As an adolescent, she was sparked up by the glamour world when she was introduced to the film casting during her High School. She auditioned for a small role and was cast in "My Little Girl". She realized her inclination towards choosing acting at the professional level. Her desire to get popular was so high that she had to part from her family for their indifferent attitude towards film industry and taking acting as a career. She did small roles to make her living but was neither happy nor content. Her hunger was growing and so was her passion and so were her efforts.

CAREER:

Lopez signed few dancing assignments and some small roles until she decided to do pursue acting as a full-time career. She appeared in television series as supporting roles.

She made a breakthrough with her cast in the movie Selena for which she had to compete hard until she received it. The movie came out as a celebration of the portrayed Selena and the rising star Lopez. Selena became the ladder for Lopez's stardom she had been aspiring for. What next? The show just began for her by becoming the highest paid actress.

MUSICAL CAREER: Lopez became the first artist to top the US Billboard Hot 100 with her debut single " If you had my Love". With her musical album "On the 6", she wanted to showcase her vocal talent. And yes, she got applauded and the audience liked this multi-talented girl. She transformed from a film-star to a pop star. She was emerging as a sex symbol and wanted to pull this image. She managed to do so with her second album, and a best-seller, J.Lo. It was a great success and charted number one on the US Billboard 200.

J to tha L–O! The Remixes was again a best-seller.

This is Me...Then was Jennifer's third music album. It came up with her most iconic single.

She had a hard time and even dealt with a nervous breakdown after her third album. She gathered herself well with her fourth album "Rebirth". It was an essence of her own feelings, of her own re-evolving.

Her fifth the musical album was Como Ama Una Mujer. It came as an answer to those who would speak of Jennifer having limited vocal tone.

Her sixth the studio album was "Brave" and seventh was "Love". After six albums with Epic Records, she parted ways and "Love" was launched under a new label.

Lopez was a part of judge panel in American Idol. This revived her career.

Her eighth the music album was A.K.A., which had its incense derived from her travel experiences.

She has also released Spanish music albums.

Her career as a film star and a pop star ran simultaneously hitting both the industries.

She specialized in ballet, jazz and flamenco dance forms too.

She along with her sister runs a nonprofit organization the Lopez Family Foundation. The Foundation works to meet the medicine and healthcare requirements for underprivileged children and women. She has been well announced as the first Global Advocate for Girls and Women at the United Nations Foundation. She has also raised a huge amount of funds for the research on HIV/AIDS.
